Senior Legal Advocate

This role presents an exceptional chance for experienced legal professionals to deliver high-quality, independent legal services on behalf of the Queensland Government.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert, independent legal advice and representation in emergency applications under the Child Protection Act 1999.
- Provide technical skills to litigate, negotiate, offer legal advice, and interact with clients and stakeholders in a complex legal environment.
- Coordinate and represent the Director-General's participation in child protection-related legal matters.
Mandatory Requirements
- Admission as a Barrister-at-Law or solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland is required.
- A C class driver's license is required for travel.
- You are required to be on-call for out-of-hours emergency legal advice and support.
