Prosecutor Role

This is a temporary, full-time role as a Prosecutor in our team. The successful candidate will represent the Crown in superior court trials and complex criminal proceedings.

The Prosecutor will mentor and support the professional development of legal and administrative staff, contributing to a collaborative environment.

  • Appearing as lead counsel in criminal proceedings, including superior court trials.
  • Providing authoritative advice on complex matters of criminal law and evidence.
  • Exercising discretion to initiate, vary, or discontinue serious criminal charges.
  • Communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including judges, defence counsel, solicitors, police officers, witnesses, victims of crime, and court officials.
  • Mentoring, supervising, and inspiring the professional development of legal officers and support staff.
