Production Leadership Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing department.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supervisory principles, practices, and techniques, with a proven track record of managing teams and projects. They will be responsible for ensuring that production meets quality, schedule, and cost targets, while maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Supervise work team in the planning and execution of assembly activities.">
  • Plan resource requirements based on backlog and forecasted workload.">
  • Hire, train, develop, and appraise staff effectively.">
  • Foster a spirit of teamwork within the department.">
  • Address employee performance issues in a timely manner.">
  • Schedule, allot, and monitor work orders.">
  • Align with engineering, purchasing, operations project engineers, quality control, and project managers to ensure project requirements are met.">
  • Ensure projects are completed within budgeted cost and schedule while meeting all quality requirements.">
  • Maintain measurements for quality, schedule, and cost performance.">
  • Ensure timeliness, safety, and quality of material movement.">
  • Develop and implement standard work procedures to continually improve overall department productivity.">
  • Train and inform employees of new work methods and procedures.">
  • Responsible for safe work practices, maintaining a safe work environment, and ensuring work crews follow safe practices and HSE programs.">
  • Identify, recommend, and prioritize the acquisition of tools and other capital equipment to improve overall efficiency of the department.">
  • Assist in preparation of capital and department expense budgets.">
  • Develop skills and abilities of team members.">
  • Validate and update department training curriculum by reviewing existing material and revising as necessary.">
  • Complete tasks as directed by Operations Manager with minimal supervision.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Heavy Mechanical background experience with pumps, motors, process piping, valves, control valves, skid-based units, process skids, instrumentation.">
  • Able to read and interpret P&ID, ISO, and engineering assembly drawings.">
  • Able to perform shop math.">
  • 7-10 years technical experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting.">
  • 5+ years supervisory experience.">
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Word, MS Excel.">
  • Ability to communicate issues and solutions with project engineers.">

  • Experience in an ISO certified environment.">

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

  • Some heavy lifting and considerable moving of equipment required.">
  • Lifting of objects up to 50lbs.">
  • Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise.">
  • Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments.">
  • Safety glasses required while performing tasks.">
  • Ability to stand up to 11 hours a day (with a lunch break), up to 6 days a week.">
  • Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.">
  • Steel-toe boots required in Manufacturing Facility.">
