Production Management Role

We are seeking a skilled Production Manager to oversee the planning and execution of various assembly activities. This individual will be responsible for supervising direct labor staff, evaluating work performance, and coordinating with other departments to ensure project requirements are met.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Work Team: Lead and guide a team of production staff in the planning and execution of assembly activities.
  • Plan Resource Requirements: Determine resource needs based on backlog and forecasted workload.
  • Hire, Train, and Develop Staff: Recruit, train, and develop high-performing production staff.
  • Foster Teamwork: Promote a collaborative work environment within the department.
  • Address Performance Issues: Address employee performance issues promptly and effectively.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Heavy Mechanical Background: Experience with pumps, motors, process piping, valves, control valves, skid-based units, process skids, instrumentation.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret P&ID, ISO, and engineering assembly drawings, perform shop math.
  • Leadership Experience: 7-10 years technical experience in manufacturing/industrial setting, 5+ years supervisory experience.
  • Software Proficiency: Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Word, MS Excel.
Work Environment:
  • Physical Demands: Some heavy lifting, considerable moving of equipment required; lifting objects up to 50lbs; regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, noise.
  • Working Conditions: Exposed to a combination of normal office-type environments and shop environments; ability to stand up to 11 hours a day, up to 6 days a week; non-temperature-controlled environment.
