About the Role

This part-time position operates for a total of 35 hours per week during term time only, working Monday to Friday, commencing at 7:00 am and finishing at 2:30 pm. Additional hours may be required for specific events.

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Events & Hospitality Manager/Cafe Supervisor to cover staff leave from a specified period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the aims, principles and tenets of an educational institution.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Manage all aspects of cafe operations including menus, food nutrition, quality and value, stock control, stock take and ordering.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to promote a safe, secure environment for staff, students and volunteers.
  • Ensure excellent customer service to all levels of the community in a busy and demanding work environment.
Selection Criteria
  • Food Safety Supervisor (Level 2) Certificate.
  • High level of practical knowledge of food safety and the HACCP programme.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Well-developed people management skills.
  • Sound organisation and time management skills.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound computer skills.
  • Current First Aid (HLTAID004) Certificate.
  • Current and valid driving licence.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
  • Prior proven experience in a school cafe or similar work environment.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

The successful applicant must satisfy child protection screening and adhere to the College's child protection policies and Staff Code of Conduct.
