About This Role

This is a hands-on position in all aspects of regional transportation operations.

The purpose of this role is to ensure safe and efficient product delivery to consumers, agents, and distributors.

This will be achieved by training drivers properly and maintaining vehicles that meet company and regulated standards.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Support various business areas with an operational focus on cylinder & tanker deliveries, driver induction/recruitment, training & support, and scheduling.
  • Monitor and manage transport costs, contractor performance, and payments, as well as control and payment of payroll/agency labor hire.
  • Coordinate and control established maintenance standards (including preventative maintenance) and breakdown programs for all delivery vehicles.
  • Conduct regular and random inspections on cylinder trucks, tankers, and other vehicles used for transport purposes to ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and security are maintained.
  • Meet set metrics and targets, including transport delivery KPIs, truck and DEL audits, Customer Promise (transport specific), corrective actions via drivecam and coaching, and Linde directives.
  • Maintain an up-to-date working understanding of the Elgas Routing Program (RAT).
  • Promote safety awareness and training through monthly driver safety meetings and monitoring completion of all training objectives.

  • A strong and accurate administrative & compliance focus.
  • Strong and relevant computer skills (EWS & RAT).
  • Highly developed written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent decision-making skills and personal initiative and adaptability.
