About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing payroll and accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with detailed knowledge of AASB accounting principles and GST. They will also be confident in processing end-to-end weekly payroll and have strong data entry and reconciliation skills.

In addition to these technical requirements, we are looking for someone who is a strong problem-solver, able to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Management: Oversee and process end-to-end weekly payroll with accuracy and integrity.
  • Financial Accounting: Support the finance team to complete month-end tasks, ready for P&L release and Board reporting.
  • Team & Operational Support: Supervise day-to-day finance operations, coaching and supporting team members as needed.
Essential Qualifications And Experience
  • Minimum 3+ years in a similar role within a medium-sized organisation.
  • Detailed knowledge of AASB accounting principles and GST.
  • Proven experience processing end-to-end weekly payroll.
