Job Description

The role of Animal Health Technical Services Manager is a pivotal position within our organization. As the technical lead, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing programs that support Australia's livestock biosecurity system.

This challenging opportunity requires a professional with expertise in animal health and disease control strategies. You will be responsible for leading and coordinating projects to enhance national biosecurity and emergency preparedness.

  • Leading and coordinating projects to enhance national biosecurity and emergency preparedness.
  • Utilizing scientific and technical knowledge to support a diverse portfolio of activities, including emergency animal disease exercises and laboratory operations.
  • Identifying project risks, implementing controls, and managing resources efficiently.
  • Providing expert advice on vaccine banks, animal disease exercises, and emerging biosecurity threats.
  • Supporting data collection, analysis, and reporting to inform strategic decisions and improve disease control strategies.
  • Developing policies and ensuring compliance with national animal health and welfare standards.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders to bolster disease control efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
