Laboratory Animal Care Specialist

The Australian National University is seeking a skilled Animal Technician to join their team at the Australian Phenomics Facility (APF). This role will provide laboratory animal care and technical support to research teams in the John Curtin School of Medical Research (JCSMR).
This position is ideal for individuals with excellent interpersonal skills, who can develop productive relationships with colleagues and clients. Highly developed organisational skills and effective self-management are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing daily care, monitoring and maintenance of laboratory animals and equipment
- Ensuring high standards of animal welfare and biosecurity
- Working effectively in a team environment to achieve goals and objectives
Requirements:
- Experience working in science or animal care is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly developed organisational skills and effective self-management
