Job Overview

This role plays a vital part in supporting research groups by providing top-notch animal care services to ensure the highest standards of animal welfare and biosecurity.

Candidates with a rodent allergy are not suitable for this position.

Main Responsibilities

Provide daily care, monitoring, and maintenance of laboratory animals and equipment within the Animal Services division.

  • Deliver high-quality animal care services
  • Ensure compliance with animal welfare and biosecurity protocols
  • Foster positive working relationships with researchers and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of animal care policies and procedures
Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual with:

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • High level of organisational skills
  • Experience working in science or animal care (desirable)
