Community Engagement Specialist

About the Role:

This position is part of a team responsible for delivering health education programs to Indigenous communities in Darwin.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide information and support on smoking cessation and health promotion initiatives.
  • Contribute to the delivery of health programs at schools and community events.
  • Develop and implement health education strategies for Indigenous audiences.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to develop tobacco control campaigns.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with diverse Aboriginal communities, understanding their culture and social context.
  • Strong organisational skills to plan and manage projects, meet deadlines and budget requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapt to pressure and tight timelines.
