Family Health Promotion Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and passionate professional to join our team as a Family Health Promotion Specialist. This role is crucial in improving the health and wellbeing outcomes for First Nations communities in the Top End.
The ideal candidate will work closely with children, young people, elders, and families to promote family health and wellbeing, creating and delivering responses to population health needs in collaboration with the local community.
This position requires a strong understanding of traditional and western health, as well as a passion for social justice and improving outcomes for First Nations Communities.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Implementing the Children's Ground Family Health & Wellbeing Model – Health in the Hands of the People, contributing to enhancing the health and wellbeing outcomes for children, families, and communities.
- Engaging with children and families within early learning and outside learning sessions, including home/community visits and other outreach strategies, focusing on optimal health promotion.
- Fostering relationships with local First Nations community members to ensure active promotion of local cultural knowledge and practice.
You will also be responsible for program design, standards, and implementation, information and data systems, monitoring, and reporting, as well as contributing to the team as a positive, innovative member.
