Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to oversee the berthing and loading operations of LNG carriers. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in ensuring safe and successful operations.

The role involves supervising the entire process, from berthing and mooring to un-berthing and gangway movement. You will also be responsible for conducting pre-load meetings with vessel senior officers and discussing ship shore checklists.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Revising LNG Tankers' compatibility studies
  • Supervising berthing, mooring, and un-berthing of LNG Tankers and gangway movement
  • Conducting pre-load meetings and discussing ship shore checklists with vessel senior officers
  • Carrying out pre-load periodic safety checks and emergency shut down tests
  • Supervising the connection of loading arms and observing pressure tests
  • Ensuring smooth and safe operation during LNG loading
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A marine qualification, preferably Master Class I or minimum Chief Officer Certificate of competency
  • Experience in loading and berthing LNG carriers
  • Ability to plan and manage time and resources effectively
  • High degree of organizational skills
  • Sound knowledge of procedures, including ISO systems
  • Professional manner
  • Proficiency in OPTIMOOR program
  • A valid Australian driving license
  • A Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
