Job Overview

The DDG PI Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, and commissioning of ship systems and equipment on a major project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting up, testing, integrating and commissioning of equipment and systems.
  • Developing accurate technical documentation including test procedures and reports.
  • Providing expert technical services to projects.
  • Contributing to planning and maintenance of schedules.
  • Assisting in the design, construction, testing and acceptance of systems.
  • Defect analysis, resolution and provision of detailed technical reports.
  • Carrying out tasks in a safe manner including planning isolations of ships systems and writing/reviewing risk assessments.
About You
  • A Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical (or higher) OR Certificate III in Plumbing Operations (or higher)
  • Significant post-trade experience in a complex production or industrial environment.
  • Strong experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and multitask within a production environment.
  • Demonstrated communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with employees and customers at all levels.
