Senior Aircraft Maintenance Specialist

As a key member of our organization, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the quality control and environmental programs at the field level in support of assigned aircraft and support equipment.
This position involves inspecting the repair and modification of aircraft structures, structural components, and engines of complex to extreme difficulty.
The successful candidate will have a broad working knowledge of aircraft maintenance, inspection techniques, FAA regulations, and technical publications.
- Inspect, remove, install, repair, replace, modify, disassemble, reassemble and calibrate complex aircraft mechanical and electromechanical systems in accordance with maintenance manuals, test procedures and other military publications.
- Perform receiving, in-process, final quality, flight safety inspections and functional operational tests during organizational, intermediate and depot level maintenance, modification and repair of military tactical aircraft systems or associated components.
- Approve or reject work accomplished by field team members to ensure compliance with customer specifications, standards and technical data.
The Aircraft Technical Inspector will be required to:
- Lift/push/pull parts and equipment up to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally lift/push/pull objects up to 50 pounds.
- Work in an Aircraft maintenance hangar that is moderately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
- Be able to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, including extreme weather conditions and rudimentary infrastructure.
