Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Airworthiness Standards Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our fleet management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of our fleet, monitoring maintenance activities, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including those related to maintenance, airworthiness, and safety management.
  2. Fleet Airworthiness: Maintain the airworthiness of our fleet, including monitoring defect rectifications, abnormal events, and irregularity reports.
  3. Maintenance Program Management: Develop and maintain the operator's Aircraft Maintenance program and Minimum Equipment List (MEL).
  4. Technical Literature Review: Review and assess technical literature to provide input to the Technical Instruction assessment procedure.
  5. Reliability Meetings: Attend and contribute to reliability meetings for aircraft in our fleet.
  6. Regulatory Applications: Make applications to regulatory authorities for Special Flight Permits (SFPs) or Permits to Use (PUSs) for our aircraft.
  7. Maintenance Authorizations: Issue Pilot Maintenance Authorizations to crew members, subject to receiving authorization.
  8. Airworthiness Reviews: Conduct Airworthiness Reviews of our aircraft and issue Airworthiness Review Certificates, subject to receiving authorization.
  9. Maintenance Program Approvals: Assess and approve changes to the Maintenance Program Manual, subject to receiving authorization.
About You

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in aviation maintenance and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Extensive Regulatory Knowledge: Suitable to be appointed as Airworthiness Standards Engineer.
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in engineering in an aviation-related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years' experience in matters related to airworthiness management, or at least 2 years' experience with an additional 3 years' experience in civil aviation maintenance.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of regulations and standards related to airworthiness management, as well as the CAMO's Exposition.
  • Skills: Strong focus on regulatory and procedural compliance, proactive and self-motivated, high level of personal and professional integrity and confidentiality, and strong attention to detail.
