Job Title: Production Mechanic

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Production Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Liverpool. As a key member of our production facility, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and equipment.

About the Role:
  • You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify root causes to prevent downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and adjustments, to prevent equipment breakdowns.
  2. Troubleshoot mechanical issues using your technical knowledge and diagnostic skills to resolve problems quickly.
  3. Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment to reduce the risk of breakdowns and extend machinery lifespan.
  4. Install, modify, and upgrade equipment as required to improve operational efficiency.
  5. Work closely with other Production Mechanics and the production team to address any mechanical issues that may impact production.
  6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
  7. Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulatory requirements, including food safety regulations.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Trade qualification in Fitting, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter, ideally within the food manufacturing or industrial sector.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various departments.
