Job Overview

The Warehousing and Logistics Lead is a pivotal role overseeing all warehouse and logistics operations. It ensures activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

This position plays a vital part in driving continuous improvement across the function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support a high-performing warehousing and logistics team to achieve outstanding results.
  • Ensure a safe, secure, and compliant working environment by implementing robust policies and procedures.
  • Develop and enforce clear documented practices to maintain team capability through training, development, and succession planning.
  • Oversee all warehousing functions including receipt, storage, distribution, and equipment maintenance to ensure goods are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through timely order fulfilment and clear communication.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives while managing operational risks to drive business excellence.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years relevant Supply Chain, Warehousing and logistics experience within a manufacturing or Defence organisation.
  • Strong understanding and working experience in a computerised ERP environment.
  • Strong leader and coach with excellent communication, interpersonal, and people management skills.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Forklift License.
