Job Title: Casual Maintenance Assistant

This is an entry-level maintenance assistant role that requires the ideal candidate to have experience in maintenance or similar roles, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with responses to maintenance requests to ensure buildings and properties are functional and in good repair. They will also assist the Maintenance Supervisor with weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work effectively.

  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and ensure prompt action is taken to address issues.
  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with daily operations and provide support as needed.
  • Perform general repairs, painting, cleaning, furniture relocation and assembly, fixing leaking taps, changing light bulbs, and other tasks as required.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of outside spaces and ensure high standards of presentation are maintained.
  • Assist with the maintenance of plant equipment and supplies to ensure compliance with Australian Standards.
  • Engage subcontractors as necessary and ensure relevant documentation and safety processes are followed.
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policy, safety procedures, and processes at all times.
