Heavy Vehicle Technician

We are seeking a qualified Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our team. As a Heavy Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing and maintenance on trucks and buses.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with Volvo Trucks, Mack and UD Trucks, some of Australia's most innovative transport brands. You will be based at our dealership in Blacktown, which is part of the larger Volvo Group Australia umbrella. The team of 60 workshop staff includes Mechanics, Auto-Electricians, Apprentices, Parts Interpreters, Service Advisors and Costing Clerks. Our Heavy Vehicle Mechanics have a stable work environment and opportunities to upskill to become dual trade qualified.

  • Steering and suspension repairs
  • Electrical faults diagnosis and repairs
  • Braking systems diagnosis and repairs
  • Preventative maintenance services and repairs
  • Offsite and breakdown repairs
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Heavy Vehicle mechanical qualification
  • Experience working with European truck or bus brands is highly regarded
  • Some exposure to light auto-electrical work
  • A proactive attitude with a drive to work efficiently
  • A positive safety attitude with a team-focused mindset
