Job Summary:

The Electrical Foreman/Leading Hand plays a pivotal role in the successful execution of site works, ensuring timely completion of projects in accordance with the construction program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure optimal utilisation and monitoring of site resources (labour, machinery, materials, sub-contractors etc.) to achieve project milestones.
  • Delegate tasks to direct reports based on their skill sets, knowledge, and ability, and identify skill gaps and training requirements as necessary.
  • Carefully manage plant and equipment hire-in and off-hire processes to maintain efficiency.
  • Coach and mentor direct reports to enhance their positions and contribute to team growth.
  • Communicate relevant information effectively to direct reports and sub-contractors to ensure seamless collaboration.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior/supervisory role.
  • Substantial experience working in Civil/Electrical Construction environments.
  • Unrestricted MR Drivers Licence, White Card, LVR, and QLD Electrical Licence.
  • Transport and Main Roads Experience is highly valued.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and understand electrical and construction drawings.
