We are seeking a skilled Cost Engineer to join our team at Bechtel Corporation. As a Cost Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects by managing costs, analyzing data, and developing innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine cost estimating, analysis, and control activities, as directed.
- Support the implementation of cost monitoring and control standards, techniques, systems, and reports.
- Assist with budget allocation and reporting/cost control for specific construction discipline or group of disciplines.
- Prepare cost data for proposals or contracts.
- Coordinate the development and accuracy of cost reports.
- Verify consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility and consistency.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in project controls or cost control.
- Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, cost control, and cost analysis.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient planning and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with PC operating systems and multiple discipline-specific software applications.
