Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist to take on a key role in our Health Information department.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform concurrent and retrospective review of inpatient clinical records to identify discrepancies or omissions that may impact patient care
  • Advise clinicians on accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation during meetings
  • Support clinicians to respond to coding queries and apply learnings to improve clinical documentation

To succeed in this role, you will need to report on outcomes efficiently and effectively. You should be a self-motivated individual who can work both independently and as part of a team, with strong analytical skills and excellent communication abilities.


The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and be able to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information. A passion for quality improvement and promoting culture change is also desirable.
