About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Social Worker. This is an exciting opportunity to work with individuals who have experienced sexual assault and make a positive impact in their lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive one-to-one and group work services, including counselling, crisis intervention, and advocacy for individuals aged 16 and over.
  • Undertake research and projects to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
  • Develop and deliver education and training programs to promote awareness and understanding of sexual assault.
  • Provide referral information and support to individuals seeking access to counselling, support groups, legal assistance, or other help.
  • Liaise closely with stakeholders and statutory authorities to provide effective sexual assault services.
Requirements:
  • Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide crisis and long-term counselling and group work services.
  • Demonstrated experience working in crisis and trauma situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake risk assessments and develop sound safety and therapy plans.
  • Demonstrated experience in long and short-term counselling, group work, and community development.
