
Trauma Care Specialist

Job Overview:
- Play a pivotal role in attending all Level 1 and 2 trauma call-outs, contributing to comprehensive trauma assessment and patient care.
As a key member of our Trauma team, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining accurate documentation in our trauma records.
- Gathering essential pre-hospital data.
- Recording information for national registry purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform primary, secondary, and tertiary surveys on trauma patients.
- Demonstrate vital trauma skills such as tube thoracostomies, splinting fractures, and wound management.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Relevant qualifications and experience: MBBS or equivalent, registrable with the Medical Board of Australia, and Basic Life Support certified.
- Clinical and communication skills: Strong clinical skills in trauma care, ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
- Leadership and teaching abilities: Proven experience in supervising medical staff and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Commitment to quality and patient care: Comprehensive understanding of trauma management, quality improvement, and commitment to patient rights.
