We are on the lookout for motivated, dynamic, and customer-oriented Instructors to operate within various centers across the municipality. As a Group Fitness Instructor, your role will involve guiding participants through engaging, safe, and invigorating group fitness sessions while adhering to the specific guidelines of each class type. Your expertise in coaching, engaging, and inspiring participants will be invaluable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit enthusiasm and enjoyment while leading each class.
  • Greet participants before and/or at the start of each session by name, if possible, and always with a welcoming smile, expressing your hope for their enjoyment.
  • Ensure all necessary equipment is returned to its original condition and stored appropriately after use.
  • Prior to each session, inquire about any injuries or special conditions (e.g., pregnancy) that participants may have.
  • Maintain constant visibility of participants during the class by ensuring all activities are conducted in front of you whenever feasible.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant Qualification Certificates - Certificate III in Fitness, G.E.L, Pilates Certifications.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
  • Employee Working with Children's Check.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering various types and levels of group fitness classes is preferred. A practical demonstration of instructional skills will be required and assessed.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of patrons from various backgrounds and cultures.
