The role of Assistant Manager is critical in driving sustained business growth and maintaining sound risk management.

About the Role

You will work closely with a Relationship Manager to manage a portfolio of customers by:

  • Proactively developing and maintaining a detailed understanding of the customer's business and financial needs.
  • Acting in the best interest of the customer and applying a customer-centric approach to support their business needs with suitable products and services.
  • Providing solutions towards account maintenance and customer needs.
  • Maintaining a well-managed portfolio compliant with all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining control of workflows across all compliance and customer fulfillment processes.

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

  • Strong financial analysis skills and an understanding of structuring security arrangements.
  • Experience in managing compliance and annual reviews.
  • Demonstrated customer service and sales skills (internal and external) including relationship building.
  • Excellent communication skills across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Interpersonal skills: confidence, professionalism, integrity, and strong sense of accountability.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Sound agribusiness knowledge or experience in agribusiness banking would be an advantage.
