Job Title: Engineering Leadership Position

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced leader to spearhead our high-performing engineering team at a mine site located in the Lake Macquarie region.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute directly to the safety, performance, and sustainability of the site.

Main Responsibilities
  • Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing engineering team (mechanical, electrical, and support staff).
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory, safety, and environmental obligations.
  • Overseeing the implementation and performance of the site's maintenance and reliability strategy.
  • Managing engineering operations, cost reviews and contributing to annual mine planning processes.
  • Driving continuous improvement, digitalisation, and innovation in engineering practices.
  • Embedding a positive safety culture across engineering operations.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • A NSW Practising Certificate as Manager of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Underground Coal).
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Project Management.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior engineering or leadership position within underground coal mining.
  • A strong understanding of HSEC and statutory compliance requirements.

The ideal candidate will have proven leadership capabilities and stakeholder engagement skills, sound commercial acumen and experience managing engineering systems.
