Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fixed Income Corporate Sales professional to join our team in Sydney, Australia. As a key member of our Global Markets division, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients in Australia, providing them with innovative risk management solutions and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Originate and develop business opportunities with existing and new clients, providing advisory services on risk management and building deal pipelines in collaboration with the Global Markets teams.
  • Grow the FIC Corporate flow business with Australian Corporates and develop business opportunities, both public and private deals.
  • Provide strong pricing and execution abilities in FX and Interest rates derivatives, as well as structured investment solutions.
  • Prepare pitchbooks, market comments, term sheets, and other marketing materials.
  • Drive sales initiatives and maintain awareness of SG's FX & Rates strengths and offerings.
  • Work in close partnership with the broader FIC desk in Sydney to build out the franchise.
  • Collaborate with other salespersons in the region and globally, as well as other departments and partners.
  • Maintain strong connectivity with the market, understanding the needs of different corporate clients and industry groups, leveraging market intelligence to provide feedback internally.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, or Engineering.
  • At least 6-8 years of relevant financial markets experience in Sales or Global Markets.
  • Proven capabilities in building strong relationships with Australian Corporate clients.
  • Strong technical knowledge on Fixed Income and Currencies products, particularly IRS/XCCY/FX/FXO/Structured Investment solutions.
  • Good knowledge of dealing platforms for credit FX and FI.
  • Strong ability in Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Commercial acumen, strong corporate knowledge, and persistence in addressing clients' needs.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proven ability to work in an evolving multicultural environment with people from diverse, international backgrounds.
