Job Overview

The role of Senior Contract Administrator is pivotal in ensuring compliance, governance and commercial performance of a 20+ year facilities management contract on the Cross River Rail.

This position involves monitoring all contractual obligations, drafting and issuing formal notices, managing risk, procurement, subcontract management, variation processes and supporting the delivery team in achieving best-for-project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and provide input on subcontract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with head contract requirements.
  • Support preparation of procurement and subcontracting strategies to align with project delivery needs.
  • Identify, communicate and mitigate commercial and legal risks before contract execution.
  • Draft, issue and track contractual notices, claims, variations, extensions of time and dispute correspondence.
  • Maintain complete and accurate contractual records, registers and document control for audit readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with commercial frameworks and the head contract.
  • Provide training and guidance to project team on contractual obligations and notice requirements.
  • Identify, monitor and escalate key risks to the Senior Project Manager and Senior Commercial Manager.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Relevant degree or qualifications in Law, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Finance or related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in contract administration or commercial management within major infrastructure, rail, defence or other safety-critical industries.
  • Experience in data analysis and financial costings model development.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, procurement practices and commercial risk management.
