Government Contract Procurement Professional

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join a state government department on a 3-month contract with the possibility of extension.
- Tender Management: Prepare and manage the end-to-end tender process for various categories.
- Policy Compliance: Implement and ensure full compliance with Queensland procurement policy and other relevant legislation.
- Supplier Relations: Work effectively with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and maintain high performance standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate procurement strategies to staff and provide high-quality customer service to clients, including managing escalated queries.
- Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience in a government procurement role with a strong understanding of government procurement processes.
- Policy Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the Queensland Procurement Policy and other relevant legislation.
- Strong Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Problem Solver: A knack for negotiation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving.
