Visual Arts Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Visual Arts teacher to join our team at Abbotsleigh School. As a Visual Arts teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to students in Stages 4-5, with a focus on Photographic and Digital Media and Stage 6.

About the Role
  • Foster a love for teaching and learning in Visual Arts, inspiring students to explore their creativity and express themselves through various mediums.
  • Exhibit strong knowledge and confidence in teaching Visual Arts, with a solid understanding of art history and art criticism.
  • Demonstrate proven competency in incorporating ICT into teaching practices, utilizing innovative methods that enhance creativity and resource development.
  • Be well-versed in contemporary teaching methodologies, particularly in understanding how girls learn, and how to achieve both conceptual and technical refinement in student work.
  • Respect and appreciate young people and their diverse learning needs, with a strong emphasis on learner engagement in Visual Arts.
