Visual Arts Teacher Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Visual Arts teacher to join our team at St Andrew's Cathedral School. The successful applicant will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to providing a high-quality education to our students.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position, and the successful applicant will be responsible for teaching Visual Arts to students in Years 7-12. The ideal candidate will have extensive teaching experience in Visual Arts and expertise in Stage 6 Visual Arts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Visual Arts to students in Years 7-12
  • Develop and implement engaging and challenging lesson plans
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Extensive teaching experience in Visual Arts
  • Expertise in Stage 6 Visual Arts
  • Highly developed communication and collaboration skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Understanding of maker mindset with a range of materials
  • Expertise with a range of digital technologies
  • Flexibility to work with a range of student abilities
  • An understanding of and commitment to the School's Christian mission, values and ethos
