Job Title:

Community Support Worker

Job Description:

The Community Support Worker plays a vital role in the Kites Program, assisting clients on day trips or short breaks.

This is a Casual position available between Monday and Friday, with shifts starting at Bibra Lake (South) or Jandabup (North).

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan efficient travel routes, anticipating traffic and time management according to the service attendance sheet
  • Drive Amana Living vehicles (10 seater or 7 seater vehicles) and assist with mobilizing and transferring clients
  • Provide safe transportation to clients and staff, adhering to program requirements
  • Be alert and aware of client needs during transportation, providing assistance as necessary
  • Assist with mobilizing and transferring clients
  • Evaluate client hydration and nutrition levels, offering assistance when needed
  • Encourage social interaction and enjoyment among clients, working collaboratively with other team members
  • Respond promptly to client care needs and emergency situations
  • Maintain bus cleanliness and tidiness on a daily basis
  • Ensure seat belts and mobility equipment are securely positioned
  • Notify the Service Coordinator of scheduled service and maintenance requirements
