At the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Law & Justice, we foster an interactive learning environment that empowers our graduates to excel in a wide range of careers, from commercial legal practice to community law centres, government, or international organisations.

We are committed to combining sound analytical frameworks with practical approaches to drive meaningful change. Our socially and politically progressive outlook acknowledges the role law has played in supporting unjust social and economic power relations, and we strive to harness law's transformative potential as a vehicle for social justice.

Our students benefit from the expertise of leading public law and comparative and international law researchers, who are passionate about scholarship and dedicated to stimulating, interactive teaching.

About the Role

We are seeking qualified professionals to join our team of casual Teaching Fellows, who work closely with our academics to deliver high-quality teaching across the LLB, graduate JD, and LLM programs. As a Teaching Fellow, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of diverse teaching methods and engage with students from various backgrounds.

The University of New South Wales is looking for individuals with a strong passion for law and a commitment to participatory teaching methods. If you have a Master's or PhD degree in law or a relevant discipline, or a Bachelor's degree in law plus extensive professional and educational experience, we encourage you to apply.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced legal knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with students. We offer a dynamic and supportive work environment, flexible work options, and a competitive salary, estimated at $75-$100 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

We value diversity and inclusion and welcome applications from women, people of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, those living with disabilities, members of the LGBTIQ+ community, and people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent.

Candidates can expect a fair and transparent hiring process, with all employment details confirmed prior to commencement. Please note that employment is offered on a Term basis, with vacancies varying depending on course offerings and student enrolments.
