Job Title: Senior Structural Project Engineer

We specialise in unique commercial, government, and defence projects across Australia and D&C modular buildings in the Pacific Islands and Africa. We are currently seeking an experienced senior structural project engineer to join our team.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities. As a senior structural project engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the structural package for a new Australian Government building in the Solomon Islands.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing structural designs and preparing detailed mark-ups to ensure alignment with project requirements
  • Oversight of materials and structures to ensure load capacity, durability, and environmental resilience
  • Managing quality assurance for all structural works, conducting inspections to maintain high standards and compliance
  • Collaborating closely with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve design and construction challenges
  • Monitoring project timelines, budget allocations, and resource use to meet project milestones efficiently
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 7 years of experience in structural engineering, ideally with experience working for a civil subcontractor
  • Expertise in structural design, analysis, and project execution on large-scale projects
  • PMP certification (desired) and eligibility to register on state structural engineering registers
  • A strong understanding of Australian standards and local regulations, with a minimum of 5 years of experience working in the Australian construction industry
  • Willingness to travel overseas for site visits during the construction stage
