About the Role

We are seeking a confident and self-motivated leader to join our team as a Strategic Evaluation and Assurance Lead. This role provides an opportunity to develop your leadership and influence across strategic and sensitive reform activities with long-lasting impacts on the Defence and veteran community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct analysis and research to identify, report, and troubleshoot problems on a range of issues across the Australian Defence Force and broader Department of Defence.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to gather information and provide timely and trusted advice to enhance decision-making confidence and assist in reputation and risk management.
  • Lead focus groups and write briefings for senior leadership to inform strategic decisions.
Requirements
  • A strong background in quantitative analysis and qualitative approaches.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to think collegiately and strategically in the Defence context.
  • Interpersonal skills to maintain positive work relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
About Our Team

You will join a high-performing and dedicated team of implementation, evaluation, lessons, data, and legal specialists in the Directorate of Select Strategic Issues Management. Our team provides enterprise-wide capability to manage strategic issues, assure response, remediation, reputation, and reform.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
