An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Business Services Team Leader to take charge of our operations. Within the Corporate Services division, the Business Services team is dedicated to supporting legal professionals and staff in solidifying the Firm's top-tier status, providing integrated products and services across all offices, and engaging in ongoing process evaluations.
This role entails a hands-on approach to various functional tasks and responsibilities, particularly in operational domains such as search and lodgement, document management, mail services, courier coordination, stationery supply, printer management, financial disbursements, procurement, space management, maintenance, archiving, security, and environmental initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operations of the Adelaide Business Services Team, serving as the primary contact for operational and service delivery matters.
- Lead the Business Services function, including the Business Centre and Search and Lodgement, with an emphasis on sustainable service delivery.
- Work closely with the Client Services Team Leader to ensure coordinated and seamless service delivery across all corporate services.
- Supervise daily operations and ensure efficient task execution within the Business Services team.
- Assist in budget formulation, cost forecasting, monthly expense monitoring, and invoice management.
- Maintain relationships with key suppliers and service providers while managing purchasing expenditures.
- Facilitate the onboarding of new employees and provide necessary training across the office.
- Support the Operations Manager in identifying and implementing improvements to existing and new processes and services.
- Foster a positive team culture that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant workplace health and safety guidelines.
- Adhere to all security protocols and requirements.
- Coordinate emergency and business continuity plans to meet operational needs.
- Assist with overflow tasks from the Business Services Assistant role as needed, providing hands-on support during staff absences or peak periods.
Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and a high level of energy and enthusiasm. Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications- 5-8+ years of experience in facilities, office services, and operations management within professional services.
- Proven ability to cultivate an inclusive and positive team environment through active participation and open communication.
- Experience in leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced setting.
