Community Safety Officer

Auxiliary Firefighter role at Queensland Fire Department requires the incumbent to respond to fire and emergency incidents, promote community safety, and contribute to education activities.
This is a casual flexible role, with a requirement for attendance of 50% of calls as a day worker or 30% as a shift worker. The appointed person will be expected to commit to ongoing skills acquisition and maintenance programs, including first aid and emergency care.
The role involves operating specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner, contributing to upkeep and hygiene of station facilities, and ensuring maintenance and repair of operational equipment.
The selected candidate will also be required to adhere to organisational health principles and procedures, communicate effectively with QFES personnel and other emergency service providers, and contribute to a safe and healthy work environment.
