Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Field Service Technician. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring prompt attention to their needs.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing complex technical issues using various diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Performing preventative maintenance activities on engine and related components to ensure optimal performance.
  • Escalating unresolved issues to more experienced technicians or supervisors as required.
  • Completing required documentation, including service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, and quality documents.
  • Identifying additional service opportunities with customers and suggesting solutions to meet their needs.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.

  • Health and Safety Fundamentals: You will champion proactive health and safety behaviors, identifying and reporting potential hazards, and participating in actions to improve health and safety within the workplace.
  • Diagnostics Application: You will translate customer complaints into troubleshooting plans, utilize guided workflows, and apply specialized equipment to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Electronic Service Tool Application: You will identify and utilize the appropriate electronic tool set to maintain and diagnose products, interpreting results to determine next steps for service resolution.
  • Engine Systems Interactions: You will analyze the interactions of internal and external electrical and mechanical systems, applying tools, service publications, and taking measurements to efficiently diagnose and repair complex technical issues.
  • Product Repair and Maintenance: You will repair and maintain mechanical/electrical products, adhering to guidelines and using required tools to ensure a quality repair, inspecting and replacing parts and components as necessary.
  • Service Documentation: You will create and verify customer, equipment, and technical information, capturing specific data using required service tools, and documenting required information in the service management system.
  • Technical Escalation: You will obtain product technical issue information, utilizing available resources, and elevating issues to a higher level of expertise, balancing timeliness of customer response with investigation efforts.
