We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Centre team, supporting patients through the pre-admission and post-operative phases of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ase patients' readiness for surgery by conducting thorough assessments and developing effective care plans.
  • Provide clear and empathetic education to patients and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
  • Ensure safe and attentive care during the immediate post-operative period, prioritizing patient comfort and well-being.
  • Collaborate within a supportive team environment and participate in ongoing orientation and mentoring to ensure seamless delivery of care.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with AHPRA and at least 2 years of experience in a surgical centre/day surgery or admissions/discharge within a fast-paced acute care environment.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of 4–8 hour shifts, Monday to Friday, across a rotating roster to meet the needs of our patients.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with patients and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and empathy, especially in high-pressure or sensitive situations, to provide optimal patient care.
