We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Testing Officer to join our team at SGS. As a Testing Officer, you will play a critical role in the examination, test, and calibration of road safety enforcement technology equipment and other traffic systems.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a field-based position, traveling daily within the metropolitan area. With full training, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining tools necessary for testing, ensuring safe and professional testing practices, and assisting the Project Manager Traffic Systems as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain tools for testing and calibration of road safety enforcement technology equipment and other traffic systems.
  • Ensure testing and calibration are conducted in a safe, professional, and ethical manner.
  • Assist the Project Manager Traffic Systems in implementing Traffic Management to meet HSE guidelines.
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach.
  • Assist in testing road safety enforcement technology and other traffic systems equipment to determine compliance with standards or client requirements.
  • Record test results, assessments, and observations for permanent reference and report compliance.
  • Prepare written reports of test results, assessments, and observations.
Requirements
  • Certificate in Electronics or equivalent qualification and experience.
  • Understanding of Traffic Management and road side HSE.
  • Knowledge of measurement and testing techniques related to road safety enforcement technology and test equipment.
  • Understanding of the principles used by road safety enforcement technology equipment.
  • Technical writing skills to record test results.
  • Current and valid Australian driver's license.
