Urban Planning Expert Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Urban Planner to join our team in Brisbane. As an Associate, you will play a key role in managing complex projects from start to finish, providing expert advice to clients, and developing strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning or a related discipline, extensive experience in town planning, and a proven track record of successfully managing development applications and providing strategic planning advice.

Key responsibilities will include project management, statutory planning advice, client and stakeholder management, and technical expertise. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills, be a natural leader with a passion for mentoring others, and be proactive and solutions-oriented.

This is a full-time mid-senior level position within the consulting and project management sector, working on diverse and impactful projects across Queensland.

  • Project Management: Lead planning projects from start to finish, including development application preparation and submission.
  • Statutory Planning Advice: Provide expert advice to clients on feasibility studies, due diligence, strategic planning, and policy analysis.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, government authorities, and other project stakeholders.
  • Technical Expertise: Deliver high-quality planning reports and advice, ensuring a strong understanding of the Queensland planning framework and local government schemes.
