Job Title: News Producer

Job Overview:

The role of a news producer involves writing and producing engaging, accurate and dynamic news content. You will be responsible for editing and assembling vision and packages for assigned stories and breaking news, ensuring all content is error-free and delivered to tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write copy and edit vision to create engaging and accurate news content, including live crosses, overlays, supers and straps.
  • Create graphic elements using VIZ and assemble viz elements.
  • Cut overlays and grabs using the Quantel program, and load into ENPS shelves.
  • Build news graphics to support coverage.
  • Liaise with reporters in the field to coordinate all aspects of their live crosses.
  • Assist in the edit of field packages and write news lines to appear in the on-air ticker.
  • Line-produce rundowns from the control room where required.
  • Evaluate editorial quality of content and consult with necessary stakeholders as needed.
