This prestigious project involves the construction of two separate tunnels and an open motorway, spanning a total distance of 10.5km.

As a Senior Procurement Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of this project. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Organizing and coordinating requests for proposals, formal bids, price quotations, construction and maintenance agreements, and purchase orders.
  • Preparing tender invitations, analysis, and negotiation strategies.
  • Participating in technical and commercial interviews with short-listed vendors.
  • Negotiating departures and best outcomes for the project.
  • Preparing and reviewing contracts.
  • Executing contracts and updating appropriate registers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Extensive demonstrated experience in procurement, ideally within the construction industry.
  • A comprehensive understanding of procurement and contractual processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team-player attitude with a professional approach.

Additionally, a relevant tertiary qualification would be highly desirable.
