About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at aizoOn Australia. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex data pipelines, ensuring adherence to data governance standards, and implementing best practices for data security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Pipeline Design and Implementation: Design and build complex data pipelines in cloud environments using Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Dataproc, and PySpark.
  • Data Architecture Strategy: Develop and implement data architecture strategies to ensure efficient data integration and management.
  • Collaboration and Review: Collaborate with architects to review and validate data approaches, designs, and code.
  • Best Practices and Scalability: Ensure adherence to data engineering best practices and scalability of data solutions.
  • UI/UX Design: Apply UI/UX design principles to develop user-friendly interfaces for data management applications.
  • Data Visualization and User Experience: Work closely with design teams to ensure data visualizations and user experiences meet high standards.
  • Master Data Validation: Apply implementation knowledge of Master Data validation in infrastructure and planning spaces.
  • Security Measures: Implement and monitor best-in-class security measures in data warehouse and analytics environments.
  • Data Governance and Control: Ensure data governance and control processes are robust and effective in managing data integrity and compliance.
  • Threat Landscape and Security Adjustments: Stay updated on the evolving threat landscape and adjust security measures as needed.
  • Automation and Scalability: Develop scalable and replicable code and engineering solutions to automate repetitive data management tasks.
  • Efficiency and Improvement: Ensure that automation solutions are efficient and contribute to overall data management improvements.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in MDM implementation and management, 4+ years of experience in data architecture and integration, and 3+ years of experience with UI/UX design.
  • Cloud-Based Data Platforms: Experience with Snowflake on Azure or similar cloud-based data platforms.
  • Carbon Accounting and Sustainability Data: Experience in carbon accounting and sustainability data (preferred).
  • Data Architecture, Technology, and Patterns: Strong knowledge of data architecture, technology, and patterns.
  • MDM Tools and Technologies: Proven experience with leading MDM tools and technologies.
  • Data Governance and Control: Deep understanding of data governance and control.
  • Data Validation and Implementation: Experience in data validation and implementation in infrastructure and planning contexts.
