In this position, you will support injured or ill workers in regaining functional capacity and independence with their daily living activities within the home and community.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate an individual's functional abilities and support needs.
- Collaborate with employers, case managers, medical professionals, and insurers to ensure alignment of rehabilitation goals.
- Make recommendations for equipment, home modifications, or support services based on assessment findings.
- Identify suitable providers and make arrangements as necessary.
- Prepare timely reports outlining findings, recommendations, and clinical reasoning.
- Provide education to clients and families on adaptive strategies, energy conservation, and safe task performance.
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Professional registration with relevant authorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassion and empathy are essential.
- Effective time management and prioritization skills.
- A current valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is required.
