Emergency Medicine Consultant Position

This is a unique opportunity for a skilled Emergency Medicine Consultant to join our team in Tasmania, Australia. The region boasts a high standard of living and excellent schools.

The Role and Hospital

The Emergency Department has an annual attendance of 45,000 patients, with a 30-40% admission rate and 20% paediatric caseload. As the main referral hospital for Tasmania, we receive all types of patients, including major trauma. Our hospital features all major specialties, including a fully supported ICU with ECMO capability and 24-hour cardiac interventional angiography.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and hold Fellowship status with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent qualification.
