Occupational Therapist Role

The key responsibility of this occupational therapist position is to assist individuals in returning to their occupations. This involves evaluating treatment and rehabilitation needs, identifying future employment or training options, and performing assessments to determine the best course of action.

About the Occupational Therapy Role
  • Utilising specialist knowledge and skills to assist people return to occupations
  • Evaluating treatment and/or rehabilitation needs of workers involved in work-related or non-work-related injuries or illnesses
  • Helping clients identify future employment or training options by reviewing transferable skills, qualifications and interests
  • Performing a variety of assessments depending on clinical expertise, including functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments
  • Responsible for effective case management to plan, coordinate and monitor client's progress toward return to work goal
  • Engaging with key stakeholders and building strong relationships to facilitate achievement of business objectives

  • Professional registration with AHPRA, ESSA (AEP)
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant field
