Family Engagement Worker Role Summary

The position involves working with key stakeholders to support and advise on family engagement initiatives. The successful candidate will have experience in family welfare practice, case management, and connecting people with community resources.
">Key Responsibilities

- Support individuals in care to re-establish and strengthen relationships with family members while in custody.">
- Conduct welfare assessments to identify family needs/issues and develop family plans that engage families and meet identified needs.">
- Participate in complex care teams and contribute to case management practices as required.">
- Motivate prisoners to engage with families through visits, family sessions, transition planning, and program participation.
About You
">To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Demonstrated experience in family welfare practice and engaging with families with complex needs.">
- Demonstrated experience in case management, including assessing family welfare needs, developing support plans, and co-ordinating services.">
- Knowledge of community resources and services, and experience in connecting people with services.">
- Understanding diverse cultural backgrounds to engage with families from various communities.">
- Capacity to demonstrate empathy, patience, and understanding to build trust and rapport with families.
